The question goes: If the Earth and Universe are young, how did the light from extremely distant stars reach Earth in only thousands of years?
I have a two-part response to that:
- Big Bang Scientists have the same problem to overcome – so it is not such an easy rebuttal of Young Earth Creationism. It’s called the Horizon problem and even given their supposed billions of years of Universe history, they don’t have enough time for light to travel to cool off our Universe to such an even temperature everywhere. They attempt to solve that by introducing Inflation, but that then adds many more challenges and questions…yes, it’s possible that their answers might be true, but I don’t think it is the simplest, best explanation since they have to add more to their billions-of-years stories.
