Uh-oh! Typical fishing practices may be reducing the genetic abilities for large and fertile fish.
This is change due to selection – but still not an example of upward evolution (which is what the theory of evolution requires).

Now what a curious thing, that these evolution-believing scientists should have such little faith in the capacity of evolution! It’s as if they intrinsically realize that the rapid change in genetic makeup they observed in their laboratory fish population is not in the same direction as that needed to create new genetic information.”
